Kristofer Strom is an animator/ illustrator from Sweden. I stumbled across his work whilst doing research into my self directed brief and spotted his video on Youtube that he made for the minimalist Swedish techno duo Minilogue. The video has almost 3 million hits and has become quite well knownInspired by Ren and Stimpy he loves to draw and doodle strange little animals and freelanced for a few years in his hometown of Malmo doing illustrations and animations.
The music video uses stop motion animation and features him drawing on a whiteboard with a marker lots of funny little animations. I really like this technique and it works really well with the music track. I really like the ways he moves from one cartoon to another and i think this technique would work really well for my project. He is obviously a very talented drawer but I think the work would be made much better if he had used colour in it as it looks a bit boring in black and white.
